Cracks and breaks
Old pipe cracks with age, ground movement and roots.
Sags
A low spot in the line where water and waste sit instead of flowing.
Collapsed sections
Part of the pipe has caved in. Water cannot get past, and cleaning will not fix it.
Build-up and offset joints
Grease and scale that narrow the pipe, or joints that have shifted apart.

No. The camera goes in through a cleanout or a drain. Digging only happens if the inspection finds a problem that needs it, and you decide that after seeing it.
Can the camera clear the clog?
No. The camera looks; it does not clean. A fully blocked line may need clearing first so the camera can get through.
